The Romance Writers of Australia Inc formed in 1991 to promote romance writing in Australia and to help aspiring authors achieve publishing success.
Although the organization began with only eight members, today our membership is not only Australia-wide, but includes writers from New Zealand, Singapore, the United States and the United Kingdom. RWA has become internationally recognized and respected by both category and mainstream publishers of romance - including such high profile houses as Harlequin Enterprises, Mills & Boon, Silhouette Books, Kensington, Avon Books, Harper Collins, and Random House.
