I love to read! As a child in Papua New Guinea I learned to read as books were THE entertainment. One of my first teenage rebellions was refusing to go on a bushwalk with my parents because I was half way through GONE WITH THE WIND.

As an adult, I read my way around the world always trying to read a book that related to where I was...The Brontes in Yorkshire, Jane Austen in Bath, The Godfather in Italy, Michener in Hawaii...and so the list goes on.

The real world intruded on my life and I had to pull my nose out of a book and earn a living. I chose nursing. My favourite areas of hospital-based nursing are midwifery, Accident & Emergency and Theatre. But I like to be my own boss so I headed into community health and health education. I love to see people taking control of their own health and avoiding hospital.

I was on maternity leave with my first son when I had the great idea that I could write a medical romance and work from home. It only took me ten years to sell a book! Click HERE to read my writing journey.

I'm an Aussie but I've lived in Edmonton Canada, Madison Wisconsin, and I currently live by the sea close to the Great Ocean Road, in southern Victoria, Australia.

And just like my heroines I found myself a wonderful life partner who puts up with me when I lose myself in a good book.

I'm training up two sons to do the same:-)
