Fiona is a multi-published, award-wining author, currently writing her 17th romance novel for Harlequin Mills and Boon. She has also written short stories, been published in magazines as well as writing The Boomerang Bride, a single title novel which is published by Carina Press.

Fiona writes a monthly column called, 'Ask Auntie Fi' for Heartstalk, the magazine of Romance Writer's Australia and presented a workshop entitled, 'Writing from the Male Point of View' at the annual RWA conference in August 2011 at the Melbourne Hilton Hotel.

Growing up in Papua New Guinea without television, she learned to read very early. One of her first teenage rebellions was refusing to go on a hike with her parents because she was half way through GONE WITH THE WIND.

Fiona has given workshops at the Romance Writers of Australia's annual conference, been guest speaker at libraries talking about romance and currently has a monthly column called, 'Ask Auntie Fi' in Heartstalk, the magazine of RWA.

She attempts to  juggle her writing career with her husband, a rambling garden with 80 rose bushes and two heroes in the making. And just like her heroines she's found herself a wonderful life partner who puts up with her when she loses herself in a good book. She's training up two sons to do the same:-

The real world intruded on her life and she was forced to pull her nose out of a book and earn a living. Having read all the Cherry Ames books and grown up hearing stories about her mother's nursing adventures she donned a white starched apron and followed the family tradition. Her favourite areas of hospital-based nursing are Midwifery, Accident & Emergency and Theatre. But preferring to be her own boss she quickly headed into community health and health education, enjoying the buzz of preventative medicine.

It was when Fiona was on maternity leave with her first child that she had the great idea that she could write a medical romance and work from home. It only took her ten years to sell a book! Click HERE to read her writing journey.

Fiona's an Aussie but she's lived in Edmonton Canada, Madison Wisconsin, and currently lives in a much warmer place close to the Great Ocean Road, in southern Victoria, Australia. In 2005 she sold her first Medical Romance to Harlequin Mills and Boon. Since then she's sold fourteen books, won a Cataromance Reviewer's Award and been nominated for the RUBY
